How resources find you
One Place for Special Needs makes it easy to learn about programs, services, events and even other individuals or families with special needs in your neighborhood. We're the only disability website where resources come to you.
You include your zip code when you register onto our website. When you search for resources, you can see everything closest to your home and outward. Most disability websites have clunky, long scroll down lists. One Place for Special Needs is fully searchable so everyone can browse all directories or search by category, subcategory, age groups or keyword search.
Alerts
In addition to searching in our directories, you can be notified when new information is added to our website. Click on the Alerts link in our Products, Local resources or Events sections. Then check off what interests you. Here's a small section of our Local resources alerts:
When organizations add new information in these sections, you'll receive an email update if it matches your alert. This allows anyone who provides services to quickly share informaton about changes and additions to their programs. And it takes the burden off you to search for this information. At One Place for Special Needs, resources really do find you!
You can chose how often you want to receive your alerts (daily, weekly, monthly), and even how many miles you'd like your alerts to search for matching resources and events.
Bookmarks
Bookmarks is your own personal assistant on the One Place for Special Needs website. All of the resources on our website have a "Bookmark this" button. Bookmark interesting resources, services, members and more.
You'll notice that each section of our website (e.g. Products, Online resources, Classifieds) has a Bookmark link. If you click on it, you can view everything you bookmarked for easy access later. Easily keep track of your favorite workshops, tutors, discussions and more.
